Are you a real friend?

I’m sick and tired of people being judgemental, even Christians. Believe me, i’ve seen enough in my family and the people around me.

Many Christians do not live their lives the way they preached it to be. Aren’t we all not humans? Aren’t all of us lacking perfection?

Sometimes when someone we know ‘falls down’ and not doing well, people tend to be judgemental, passing criticisms about him/her even though that person is a friend. We start to treat them differently than before.

Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall. We grow because we struggle, learn and overcome.

Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Rather than meeting people with judgement and shame, the world would be better if we love them the same. Why can’t people face them with encouragement and love? Many that are lost and caught up in the world came to experience the God that’s gonna change their lives. Some even came in ill-confident, discouraged and may have faced criticisms in the world before. They thought it’s gonna be different this time round because they have found a place in which they call home that provides an environment for them to grow in confidence, change their lives and to feel love.

Even when the people around us start making mistakes, shouldn’t we still love them the same? Loving them unconditionally? It doesn’t matter what you think, what matters most is what God expects out of you.

1 corinthians 13:13
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

God’s love is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He won’t just change His mind about loving us. Ever. Shouldn’t we grow to be more Christ-like?

Proverbs 18:24
Some friends play at friendship but a true friend sticks closer than one’s nearest kin.

Are we gonna be a real and genuine friend?

Even i, need to grow in this. Let’s change the world together.
